Welcome

Most of these poems were inspired and written for some of the most wonderful people in my life. The rest come from a place neither here nor there.

Hold on my Dearest

Fragrance no more,
Yet scents they do last.

Petals peeled gentley,
From ataxic gardens,
Of dying roses.

Take no love from my wishes,
Darling.

However missed you are,
I shall see you again.

When these petals will shower us,
I'll gratify their intent.

Leaving my past,
To carry on,
With you...

Ode to the Wells

They, deep.
They, lost.
Those sorrows,
They cost.

They, deep.
They, found.
Those people,
They drowned.

They, deep.
They, cold.
Those secrets,
They hold.

They, deep.
They, lost.
Those sorrows,
They cost.

Sanctuary

Lie my head,
Gently rested.
Concrete bed,
Heart infested.
Sorrow, dead,
Life in question.
Daily bread,
Still pretending.

Not Entirely Untitled

The simpleness,
The sorrow,
The hope that is,
Tomarrow,

Weary eyes,
Break of day,
Sorry guise,
And shift away,

Holy dawn,
Shielded lies,
Oversee,
Misguided lives,

The happiness,
The hollow,
The will to take,
And follow.

Sift Through the Sands

It flows,
Breathing harshly,
Forcing this cold despair,
Upon those who do not revolt,
Fight this,

Sleep,
Foggy, endless,
Dreaming, seeing, yet disbelieving,
Holding no candle to sorrow,
Forever.

Clockwork

We run on gears that click and turn,
The inner mechanisms of the soul.

The tick tick tick of our brains,
That makes you sit and wonder... like a reed whistling in the wind.

Unintentional prophecies that we are destined to break,
As all clocks do.

They run for a simple purpose and can always be repaired.
Contradictory in statement and example.

For humans are only born in clockwork to then grow,
Into ripe organic creatures,

A new purpose in their minds.

A new example for society to gaze upon.

See how when wound up they walk?

See how when need be, they talk?

See them fall apart...

The tick tick whir of our brains.

The ice cold touch of our clicking hearts.

The rusted silence of death.

All in due time.

We, alone in atmosphere, so suddenly deepened by the chill of death,
So, as if we were truly singular in melody, we open our inner mechanisms,

And to the click click click of our hearts,
We rearrange.

Dear Luke

You look around,
And see a boy,
Who's tears and laughs.
Are drained of joy,

He sits,
And stares,
Then turns,
And glares,

And deep inside,
You feel a pain,
Of loss and woe,
And bleak disdain,

For in his eyes,
So dull and gray,
You see the boy,
You locked away.

Promising Denial

And when there is blood,
There will be no pain,
The faithful retract,
From a faithless flame,

Twelve shots for one,
In a mesmerizing trance,
The frail mind will suffer,
From the death of romance,

Beyond me I lie,
In a devastating array,
of dead hope and blindness,
In a pale black bouquet,

For when i am gone,
There will be no pain,
For the love that was lost,
Left me covered in shame...

Lonely Day

Once a day I feel the pain,
The heartless ache,
Of a loveless strain,

Twice a day I live a lie,
I sit and stare,
While others cry,

And every day, though I've tried,
I can't help but feel,
That I've died inside.

Shattered Box of Dreams

Unknown to you,
Unknown to me,
We look Inside,
But still can't see,

Reaching in,
Our hands touch not,
The emptiness,
Of thoughts unthought,

Close your eyes,
What do you see?
A life so real?
A life with me?

How does it feel?
To know it can't be,
The pain is real,
The pain is me.
