I lead myself,
Yet I am blind,
I cannot see,
This path of mine,
I fade in trance,
Release my mind,
I stay my words,
To be confined,
If only, If only,
I cry,
If only, if only,
I'd die...

An Ode to Twilight Skies
Illumination before sunrise,
The day's awakening.
A demon sleeps...
For now, it lies dreaming.
Dull, gray, lifelessness...
A sense of some dark tranquility.
A perfect world,
Nevermore.
The day's awakening.
A demon sleeps...
For now, it lies dreaming.
Dull, gray, lifelessness...
A sense of some dark tranquility.
A perfect world,
Nevermore.
Timeless
In mind,
In trance,
In the depths of sweet romance,
For me,
For others,
For all of the world,
For past,
For future,
For a tale never told.
In trance,
In the depths of sweet romance,
For me,
For others,
For all of the world,
For past,
For future,
For a tale never told.

Clockwork
We run on gears that click and turn,
The inner mechanisms of the soul.
The tick tick tick of our brains,
That makes you sit and wonder... like a reed whistling in the wind.
Unintentional prophecies that we are destined to break,
As all clocks do.
They run for a simple purpose and can always be repaired.
Contradictory in statement and example.
For humans are only born in clockwork to then grow,
Into ripe organic creatures,
A new purpose in their minds.
A new example for society to gaze upon.
See how when wound up they walk?
See how when need be, they talk?
See them fall apart...
The tick tick whir of our brains.
The ice cold touch of our clicking hearts.
The rusted silence of death.
All in due time.
We, alone in atmosphere, so suddenly deepened by the chill of death,
So, as if we were truly singular in melody, we open our inner mechanisms,
And to the click click click of our hearts,
We rearrange.

I remember the day I died
I remember the day I died,
The day god looked into my eyes,
He took my hand and said goodbye,
He knew that moment was not my time,
I woke and stared up into a light,
Shining down from a mystical night,
"Go back to sleep," I heard him say,
I had feared I lost my way,
And I my mind I thought I had died,
But in reality I was well alive,
I did not know and did not care,
Because for me I was already there,
In a place I hoped I could be free,
In a place I knew that I could be me,
But soon I woke a second time,
My mind had told me a blatant lie,
Months had passed and I could tell,
Life for me was not a hell,
The world is a place for me to be free,
A happier place, where I can be me,
My life is complete and no longer holds strife,
I love this green planet and this thing we call life.
The day god looked into my eyes,
He took my hand and said goodbye,
He knew that moment was not my time,
I woke and stared up into a light,
Shining down from a mystical night,
"Go back to sleep," I heard him say,
I had feared I lost my way,
And I my mind I thought I had died,
But in reality I was well alive,

Dear Luke
You look around,
And see a boy,
Who's tears and laughs.
Are drained of joy,
He sits,
And stares,
Then turns,
And glares,
And deep inside,
You feel a pain,
Of loss and woe,
And bleak disdain,
For in his eyes,
So dull and gray,
You see the boy,
You locked away.
And see a boy,
Who's tears and laughs.
Are drained of joy,
He sits,
And stares,
Then turns,
And glares,
And deep inside,
You feel a pain,
Of loss and woe,
And bleak disdain,
For in his eyes,
So dull and gray,
You see the boy,
You locked away.

#15
The bars cast black shadows,
A reminder of sin,
The man of the stripes,
With a faint evil grin,
His head was held high,
As he walked from his cell,
They'd put him to death,
And they'd send him to hell,
They walked down the line,
The holy and bad,
To make things right,
To take what he had,
He gazed straight ahead,
He knew this would end,
Fading to black,
He'd meet his true friend,
The final descent,
And the last to be seen,
The pride laden death,
Of number fifteen.
