I remember the day I died,
The day god looked into my eyes,
He took my hand and said goodbye,
He knew that moment was not my time,
I woke and stared up into a light,
Shining down from a mystical night,
"Go back to sleep," I heard him say,
I had feared I lost my way,
And I my mind I thought I had died,
But in reality I was well alive,
I did not know and did not care,
Because for me I was already there,
In a place I hoped I could be free,
In a place I knew that I could be me,
But soon I woke a second time,
My mind had told me a blatant lie,
Months had passed and I could tell,
Life for me was not a hell,
The world is a place for me to be free,
A happier place, where I can be me,
My life is complete and no longer holds strife,
I love this green planet and this thing we call life.

Dear Luke
You look around,
And see a boy,
Who's tears and laughs.
Are drained of joy,
He sits,
And stares,
Then turns,
And glares,
And deep inside,
You feel a pain,
Of loss and woe,
And bleak disdain,
For in his eyes,
So dull and gray,
You see the boy,
You locked away.
And see a boy,
Who's tears and laughs.
Are drained of joy,
He sits,
And stares,
Then turns,
And glares,
And deep inside,
You feel a pain,
Of loss and woe,
And bleak disdain,
For in his eyes,
So dull and gray,
You see the boy,
You locked away.
